About Rob

Atlanta, Georgia Employment Lawyer T. Robert Reid, LLCBefore opening my own law firm, I defended some of the largest employers in the country in employment-related lawsuits for over 13 years. While doing so, I noticed that there was a chronic shortage of quality attorneys protecting the rights of individual employees. With my natural inclination to represent the underdog, I decided to use my experience to help individuals who are treated unfairly in the workplace.

After I graduated from the Emory University School of Law with distinction in 1994, I began practicing law in the Atlanta office of Jones Day, one of the largest law firms in the world. After two years, I joined the Atlanta office of Paul Hastings, an international law firm known for having one of the top employment practices in the world. Besides defending some of the largest employers in the United States in individual employment discrimination and harassment suits, I also participated in the defense of several employment class actions. Because some of my mentors noticed that I was pretty good on my feet, I was fortunate enough obtain significant courtroom and jury trial opportunities early in my career. After six years at Paul Hastings, I became Of Counsel at Jones Walker, the largest law firm in Louisiana, in its New Orleans office. I later returned to Atlanta to start my own law firm. Despite some early success, I felt I could not pass up the opportunity to join FedEx Express as a trial attorney defending the world’s largest express transportation company against employment-related lawsuits throughout the United States. In 2007, I returned to Atlanta to start my own law firm exclusively representing employees.

Besides practicing law, I am a busy father of six boys and one girl. I enjoy coaching their basketball teams, attending as many of their sporting events as I can, and introducing them to the joys of trout fishing and hiking in the beautiful North Georgia mountains.
